Product Description

Electric sand equivalent tester product overview
This instrument is designed according to the national industry standard (JTJ058-2000) (T0334-1994) fine aggregate sand equivalent test procedure requirements, suitable for asphalt mixture and cement concrete, with natural sand, artificial sand, stone chips, the aggregate particle size does not exceed 4.75mm, determination of the content of clay or impurities contained in fine aggregate, to evaluate Determine the cleanliness of the aggregate. The instrument conforms to the requirements of JTG E42-2005 aggregate test regulations for highway engineering
Electric sand equivalent tester test procedure
1. Test
In order not to affect the precipitation process, the test must be carried out on a level platform without disturbance. Check the test flushing nozzle at all times to prevent clogging. During the test, the temperature of the flushing solution should be kept within the range of 20±2ºC. Since plastic is easy to become opaque in the sun, it should be avoided to expose plastic utensils directly to the sun. The plastic container containing the test solution should be cleaned after use.
(1) Use the flushing tube to draw the flushing solution into the test cylinder until the scale of 100mm (about 80 ml).
(2) Pour the wet sample equivalent to 120±1g dry material weight into the vertical test cylinder with a funnel.
(3) Repeatedly knock the lower part of the test cylinder to remove bubbles and wet the sample, and let it stand for 10min.
(4) After the sample is left for 10±1min, plug the test cylinder with a rubber plug and fix the test cylinder horizontally on the oscillator.(Note that the square head of the test cylinder touches the screw at the bottom.)
(5) Start the oscillator and oscillate 90 times within 30±1S. When manually oscillating, the test cylinder should be placed horizontally with the hand, only the wrist oscillation, no need to shake the arm, the amplitude is 203±25mm, the oscillation time and frequency are the same as the oscillator. Then remove the cylinder, place it upright on the test bench, and unscrew the rubber plug.
(6) Insert the washing tube into the test cylinder, quickly rinse the aggregate attached to the wall of the test cylinder with the washing liquid, and then insert the washing tube into the bottom of the test cylinder, slowly turn the washing tube, and slowly raise the washing tube at a constant speed, so that the fine impurities attached to the surface of the aggregate float up until the solution reaches the 380mm scale line.
(7) Slowly and evenly pull out the flushing tube. When the liquid level is at the 380mm scale line, cut off the liquid flow of the flushing tube so that the liquid level remains at the 380mm scale line, and then stand for 20min±15 without disturbance
measure
1) After standing for 20min, as shown in Figure 4a, use a steel ruler to measure the height from the bottom of the cylinder to the liquid surface on the flocculant, i.e. h1(if possible, the height from the bottom of the cylinder to the liquid surface on the precipitate, i.e. h2, as a reference value for the sand weight measured with the piston) to 1mm.
(2) Place the counterweight piston sleeve at the mouth of the test cylinder, so that the counterweight piston slowly falls into the test cylinder until it encounters the sediment, immediately tighten the fixing screw, insert the ruler into the opening of the sleeve, align the zero point with the bottom surface of the piston, and read the height of the sediment from the sleeve, namely h2, accurately to 1mm(see Figure 4b). The above measurement process should be completed within 30 seconds. At the same time, record the temperature in the cylinder, accurate to 1ºC.
Iv. Calculation method of electric sand equivalent tester
The sand value of the sample is determined by the piston according to the following formula:
SE=h2/h1×100
In the formula, SE is the sand weight measured by the piston of the sample;
h1 is the total height of flocculant and precipitate in the test cylinder,mm;
h2 is the test cylinder for the visual determination of precipitate height,mm.
5. Precautions for electric sand equivalent tester
1, after the test, the piston must be scrubbed clean.
2, avoid round cylinder bump.
3, regularly pour lubricating oil to the oscillator slider.
Operating rules of electric sand equivalent tester:
In order not to affect the precipitation process, the test must be carried out on a level platform without shaking. Check the test flushing nozzle at all times to prevent clogging. During the test, the temperature of the flushing solution should be kept within the range of 20±2ºC.
Flush the liquid into the test tube with a flushing tube, pour the dry material into the upright test tube for 10min, plug the test tube with a rubber plug, and fix the test tube horizontally on the oscillator.
Turn on the "general power supply" switch of the electric sand equivalent tester, adjust the "oscillation time setting" of the instrument to 30 seconds, press the "Start" button, and the electric sand equivalent tester will automatically stop after oscillating for 30 seconds. Then rotate the "start" key oscillator to restore and remove the cylinder.
Insert the cannula into the test tube and fill the washing solution until the 380mm scale line, and wait for 20min.
Measurement: Use a steel ruler outside the cylinder to measure the height from the bottom of the cylinder to the liquid surface on the flocculate accurately to 1mm, that is, h1. Place the counterweight piston sleeve in the opening of the test cylinder, tighten the fixing screw immediately when it encounters the sediment, insert the ruler into the opening of the sleeve, and align the zero point with the underside of the piston. The height of the sediment is read from the sleeve, accurate to 1mm or h2. The above measurement process should be completed within 3 seconds.
